Village Church is hosting Family Promise again! June 17 – June 24

Family Promise Metrowest is a cooperative, interfaith partnership offering hope to homeless families with children through safe transitional shelter, meals, and supportive case management as they seek permanent housing.  On Father’s Day, Sunday, June 17th, families will again move into our Church and call it HOME for one week. Our lower level will be transformed into bedrooms for each family. Volunteers from Village Church, Saint Andrew’s, and the broader community will be bringing meals, serving, eating together, playing with children, doing laundry, setting up rooms or staying overnight.

Each week we need more than 60 volunteers.  If you have done this before, PLEASE SIGN UP soon.  If you are NEW to our community or have never tried helping with Family Promise, please give it a try.  Families with kids of all ages are especially welcome. To volunteer go to: http://cerv.is/m?0002 Any questions, call or email Christina Oliver at 617-529-9246 or christina.oliver20@gmail.com and Diana Carroll at 617-435-5383 or diana.carroll4@gmail.com.

Orientation is required for those working directly with guests and anyone over 12.  To sign up to attend the training, contact Judy Mongiardo or Sue Crossly at 781-318-4820. There are sessions on May 17th and June 5th.
