Pam began serving as an Associate Pastor at Village Church in 2006. She serves the church through worship leadership and pastoral care, but most of her time is spent planning and implementing our youth programs. Pam leads four programs: High School Youth Group (10th -12th grade), Confirmation (9th Grade), Eighth Grade Youth Group, and Sixth and Seventh Grade Youth Group. Pam’s enthusiastic and inviting nature, as well as her ability to recognize and name the gifts within our young people, makes her well suited for youth leadership.
Pam grew up in Village Church. She remembers her confirmation class here and the impact that year had on the development of her faith. After leaving Wellesley, Pam lived in Colorado and spent many years studying the Bible, learning about world religions, and practicing the art of meditation. With her husband, Dave, and their four children, Pam eventually moved back to the Boston area, where she received her M.Div. from Andover Newton Theological School in 2006. During her time in seminary, Pam completed a Spiritual Guidance course at Silver Dove Institute in Burlington, VT. She also taught the “Houses of Healing” Emotional Awareness Program to men in prison. Pam’s faith journey came full circle when she was called back to her childhood church to serve as an Associate Pastor.
In serving Village Church, Pam helps create a safe and life giving Christian community, where the youth are offered a place of rest and time to reflect on the deeper meaning of their lives as they listen to where God is calling them both individually and as a spiritual community. When Pam is not at church, she is spending time with her family, and being active out in God’s beautiful world.
