As a performing and recording musician, Ed Broms takes joy in the diversity of musical expression that flows at Wellesley Village Church. Ed has made recordings that span a wide variety of musical genres and disciplines, including gospel, spirituals, classic choral, folk and jazz. His eclectic practice reflects not only his musical curiosity but also his philosophy that there is truth and teaching in all kinds of music. He sees music as an inward and outward expression of God’s love.
Active as a pianist, pipe organist, keyboardist, electric bassist, vocalist, and percussionist, Ed also teaches music privately, composes original music, directs choral music and serves as an accompanist. Prior to Wellesley Village Church, Ed served as musical director of The Cathedral Church of St. Paul in Boston.
