Before landing at Village Church in 2019, Marina Berga has taken a path that has required her to be flexible and adaptive. A native of Latvia, Marina arrived in the United States with a degree in child psychology. She knew she had to pivot and studied finance at Brandeis University, earning a masters and landing a job at Bank of New York Mellon. After 10 years, Marina focused on nonprofit organizations, including one that raised money for climate change solutions in the Middle East.

She lives in Needham with her husband, Max, who is a software engineer. Her grown daughter lives in New York. Still learning, Marina is currently working toward her CPA. In her spare time she enjoys cooking, sewing, gardening and travel.
