Fall Fellowship Supper Groups
Now that spring is upon us, the Community Ministry begins planning our Fall Fellowship Supper Groups program. We hope that you will join us as we look forward to new friendships and laughter this fall.  Please use the link below to learn more and sign up by September 22. All-Church Service Project: Diaper & Lunch Bag Drive for A Place to Turn
Bring donations on or before Sunday, Sept. 24.
We are working with our partner organization, A Place to Turn, to hold two drives, both ending on our final Welcome Sunday, September 24. We are collecting diapers of all sizes, baby wipes, and baby shampoo, and for our lunch bag drive, we are collecting fruit cups, small packs of pretzels, small packs of cookies, and small lunch bags. You can drop these items off at the baskets in Village Common until September 24, when folks of all ages are invited to decorate and pack up the lunch boxes as a way of making God’s love real for our neighbors!

If you would like to donate money to purchase supplies, or volunteer to shop or drive our donations to A Place to Turn in Natick the week of the 24th, please be in touch with Rev. Martha at martha@wellesleyvillagechurch.org.

ONGOING OPPORTUNITIES

Village Table ~ A Food Program
Inspired to help in the face of a growing pandemic-fueled need, we mobilized a small army of volunteers, led by one of our members who is a culinary professional, to create the Village Table. Each week, armed with herbs, tomatoes and bounty from the Village Garden, we leverage our industrial kitchen to cook high-quality, nutritious meals. These meals are then blessed, individually packaged, and delivered to those in need, including the “Community Fridges” in Boston. EMAIL: food@wellesleyvillagechurch.org

Empty Nesters + Walking Group
We are a group of singles and couples (not just empty nesters), who gather weekly, weather permitting, for a walk in various locations, currently at the beautiful Elm Bank Reservation in Wellesley. Won’t you join us? Email at Christina.oliver20@gmail.com to receive a weekly email for location details and confirmation or cancellation, pending weather.

Prayer Shawl Ministry
Calling all knitters and crocheters! You are invited to join in a special ministry to create prayer shawls and baptismal blankets. This is a rewarding way to use your creative hands, as well as help the church be ready when needs that arise. All materials and patterns will be provided and help given as needed.  Please contact Bobbie Hayes (781-400-1333) for more information. Fall

Ways to Give

Would you like to enhance your online worship experience with a
copy of our New Century Hymnal for home use?

“Blest be the tie that binds our hearts in Christian love;
The fellowship of kindred minds is like to that above”
~Pilgrim Hymnal

Music is one way we connect as a Christian community through time and space. Whether you worship with us online regularly or occasionally, we understand the importance of having the hymnal to hold in your hands just like those in our sanctuary. This can serve as a physical reminder that, while singing, we are one together.

If you’d like to receive a copy of this hymnal for home use, please let Christine Toppin know so that she can make arrangements to get a copy to you. Email Christine at: christine@wellesleyvillagechurch.org.
