New Pastoral Resident Announcement

May 6, 2022

Great News from the Pastoral Residency Committee!
The Pastoral Residency Committee is pleased to announce that we have selected a wonderful new Pastoral Resident for the next two years beginning in August! Her name is Martha Schick and we are so excited to introduce her to the congregation. Below is a little bit about her and a photo. You will meet her in person on Sunday, May 29 when we will have a vote to officially call her to the position. We believe Martha will be a valuable asset to our staff.
I would like to thank the members of the Pastoral Residency Committee, Margie Sipe, Priscilla Clayman, Nick Butler, Matthew McKay, Kirsten Allen, Jim Strouse, Lori Bruce and Carol Abrahams, for all the time and thoughtfulness they put into the process of finding a new Pastoral Resident.
With Joy,Susan Sullivan, Chair Pastoral Residency Committee

Martha Schick is thrilled to accept this call extended by Wellesley Village Church and the Congregational Church of Weston, pending the congregational vote! She looks forward to bringing her experience in youth and young adult ministry and continuing to follow her call to ordained ministry through Word and Sacrament. As a member-in-discernment and soon-to-be graduate of Boston University School of Theology, Martha is overjoyed at the chance to serve as a Pastoral Resident within two congregations committed to exploring and spreading the Good News through creativity, joy, and community. Martha thanks the pastoral staff, search committee, and members of the Village Church and CCW who met with her and looks forward to continuing to get to know the congregations.
