Phil Carens 7.6.23 Steeple Project

Steeple Preservation Project Update 7.6.23

July 11, 2023

There is visible progress carrying on the sustainability of our church facilities! The erection of scaffolding has started. The scaffolding should be ready for use during the last week in July.

Long time member Phil Carens (pictured here) has graciously volunteered to locate his mobile office in the church for this project in order to serve as the on-site representative for the church. Phil will handle the many daily on the spot decisions that need to be made. First on that list was the massive beehive found outside under the clock tower. Who would have thought? Thank you Phil!!

To help us appreciate the complexity of this project, to this point the project has involved coordinating at least 9 organizations: The solar panel owners, the solar panel maintainers and a separate installation sub-contractor, our architect, the city building inspector, the prime contractor, a scaffolding engineer, the scaffolding sub-contractor, T-Mobile, a T-Mobile project consultant, and a T-Mobile sub-contractor for moving antennas. Whew!
