Village Church Will Send a Group to For His Children Orphanages in Ecuador in 2023!

June 2, 2022

We are pleased to announce that Village Church will be sending a group to For His Children orphanages in Ecuador during February public school vacation in 2023!

For His Children (FHC) is one of the main outreach partner organizations of Village Church. Over the past twenty one years, Village Church has sent twenty one mission teams to the two orphanages in Ecuador that FHC runs. These orphanages serve abandoned children, some with special needs, from infancy to early 20’s. This will be the 22nd Wellesley Village Church Mission Trip to FHC, with 278 church members participating since 2001.

FHC is a Christian organization that operates two orphanages in Ecuador, one in Quito and one in Latacunga. When we travel to the orphanages, we are lead as a group by wonderful members of the FHC staff. Our group stays in comfortable housing at the orphanages and spends most of the time helping and playing with the children. There is also some time spent touring parts of Ecuador. It is a wonderful experience of living in community with each other, with the children, and with the Tias who care for the children, while fulfilling the mission of caring for others.  Ecuador is a beautiful country with loving people and a safe place to travel. Members of WVC that attend include individual church members, families, or partial families with children 12 years old or older.

Pastoral Resident Meghan Berkowitz will be the pastor leading the 2023 Mission Trip.
