Village Table awarded $5,000 grant

November 13, 2020

The Foundation for MetroWest has approved a $5,000 grant to support the work of Village Table at Village Church. In awarding the grant, the Foundation for MetroWest commended Village Table for its ability to rise to the challenge of an unprecedented time. “We hope these funds help you as you respond to our community’s greatest needs and support our most vulnerable neighbors. Thank you for the extraordinary work that you do on behalf of our community.”

Gary Arthur, who initiated Village Table efforts in August 2020, said the funds will help to sustain the church’s ability to source food and packaging. “This grant gives us the opportunity to prepare and share 2,500 packaged meals out to people with food insecurity. We are grateful to the Foundation for MetroWest for providing the funds to make it all happen.”

The Foundation for MetroWest promotes philanthropy in the region by helping donors to maximize the impact of local giving and by serving as a resource for local nonprofits. Since 1995, the Foundation has granted $19 million to charitable organizations and currently stewards $26 million in charitable assets for current needs and future impact.
