Our pastors welcome the opportunity to connect with you. If you have questions about matters of faith or are facing a particular challenge, our pastors are available to talk with you and walk with you.
Are you feeling alone in your grief? Do you wonder when the jaggedness of loss will soften? Would you like to speak with someone who has been in your shoes? Befrienders are ready to walk alongside you in navigating rocky terrain. Befrienders will hold space for you, in friendship, in and with compassion.
Need to get to an appointment but are without a car? Struggling with an illness or injury and needing help getting dinner on the table? Caring Connection is a network of support in the form of volunteer drivers, cooks, and other companions who help us manage day-to-day tasks during the times we simply can’t do it alone.
Knitters gather regularly to hand-knit multi-colored prayer shawls as a symbol of the Village Church’s warm welcome to new members, to the newly baptized and the newly confirmed, to the newly wed and the newly bereaved. Prayer shawls remind us that we are surrounded by God’s unconditional love. If you love to knit, we could use your skills.
Sometimes we face life’s bitter disappointments with strength and resolve. Sometimes we need chocolate cake. Let us sweeten those sorrowful days. A simple but luscious chocolate cake goes a long way. Do you know someone for whom life is not a piece of cake right now?
