Village Table Delivers 120 Meals to “Community Fridges” in Jamaica Plain and Dorchester

October 9, 2020

A message from Gary Arthur, founder of Village Table, a food program that was started in the church’s commercial kitchen in response to the rise in food insecurity during the pandemic.

Well, Village Church,

We did it! 120 ready-to-eat meals delivered to “Community Fridges” in Jamaica Plain and Dorchester.

It was not long ago, while making our first batch of freshly made meals for our brand new Village Table food program, we wondered who we would give these meals to and how will we do it? I don’t know if you believed me when I said “Do not worry. That is not for us. The way will be provided.” Fast-forward to today, as we filled the Community Fridges in Jamaica Plain and Dorchester for the very first time.

Many shared in the cooking last night and I praise their commitment to making Village Table something unique, special, and joy giving. I thank you all for your prayers and good thoughts. All towards the glory of God.
