SERVICE MINISTRY GRANTS 2024 Application Process Opens on September 5th and Closes October 4th
The Service Ministry of Wellesley Village Church annually offers small grants to organizations providing food, shelter, clothing, medical assistance, counseling, ministerial support or other services to people in need. The application process usually opens late summer, with applications due early October.
The church is particularly interested in awarding grants to organizations that:
- Provide direct service to persons, communities, or causes in need
- Make a significant impact on the organization
- Provide current and/or future meaningful volunteer opportunities for members of Wellesley Village Church and / or Charles Street A.M.E. congregations
If your organization received a grant from Wellesley Village Church last year, you will be asked to provide a description of how that grant was used. Periodically, grant recipients are rotated out of the grant process to allow for new initiatives.
Our grants application is an online process Through the month of September, during which time we offer a button at the bottom of this message which is linked to the online submission form. Hard-copy grant requests will not be considered.
The deadline for application submissions this year is Friday, October 4, 2024. We anticipate that award decisions will be made in November.
Award funds will be transferred via the Automatic Clearing House system, which allows the church to credit your organization’s bank account directly and rapidly. If you receive a grant, you will be asked to complete and sign an ACH Authorization and Information form.
We assess each application with great care, and we derive both inspiration and reward from learning about the missions served by such worthy service organizations.
